South Riverview Park – SplashPad

Summers in Roseau are all about getting outdoors and being active. The South Riverview Park provides entertainment for all ages and interests.

Looking to beat the heat? Bring the kiddos to the Roseau splash pad park. This park looks like something out of a Dr Seuss book, full of fun colors and whimsical design. This park is a great engaging activity for any little ones that want to cool off during hot weather. The water is not heated coming out of the spouts, so it’ll take the edge off of the heat. It’s just a Minnesota myth that summers aren’t hot here! The water will turn on anytime from dawn to dusk.

Maybe paddling the Roseau River is more your style. The convenient kayak launch and dock make it easier than ever. The launch is located on the banks of the splash pad park. Kayak past the double bridges and north towards Canada. Or paddle south to the Roseau City Park where you can dock your kayak and enjoy the serenity of the tall oaks.

After spending all day outdoors you might need to get out of the sun. Seek shelter in the shaded pavilion or in the park shelter. Changing rooms, bathrooms, drinking fountains, and bottle filling stations are all built in amenities at the park. Bring along a lawn chair for indoor or outdoor use. The pavilion with built in picnic tables is available for picnics, along with the fire pit area if you want to roast some marshmallows or a weenie.

As you can see, there are so many activities designed to entertain!
