Get fueled up with a hearty breakfast and put those running shoes on, today is going to be a busy one! Let’s start with a visit to Warroad.

DAY 1: WARROAD

  • TAKE THE 22 MILE ROAD TRIP TO WARROAD

    Take the 22 mile road trip to Warroad and spend the day right next to legendary Lake of the Woods. Make your first stop in town at The Shed to enjoy almost 100 different classic & muscle car collections. The self guided tour is free. Owned by Bob Marvin, this collection of cars is epic!

  • CAST A LINE

    Get outdoors and cast a line off the docks at the point. Now you can check fishing Lake of the Woods off your bucket list. No rod? No problem, pick up a kids rod at a local gas station for under $15. Don't forget the bait. Worms are the easiest to hook for those quimish. Catch and release is allowed so don't worry if you are not prepared mentally or resource wise if you catch a fish and do not want to clean it.

  • WET YOUR WHISTLE

    After trying your luck catching a fish, head to lunch and have a drink lakeside at Lake of the Woods Brewery. Once those whistles are wet and bellies are full, continue making your way along the river.

  • SWIM OR KAYAK

    Enjoy a swim or rent a kayak from Docs Harbor!

  • GRAB A SLICE

    You can spend hours relaxing by the River. Grab a wood fire pizza at NomadsTavern before taking in the sunset. Walk across the parking lot to the point. You will find a lookout tower where you can catch a sunset on Lake of the Woods.

  • STOP BY THE SHED

    Stop by the Shed to enjoy almost 100 different classic & muscle car collections. The self guided tour is free. Owned by Bob Marvin, this collection of cars is epic!

  • CATCH SOME ZZZZ'S

    Head back to Roseau to catch a good night's sleep.

DAY 2: ROSEAU

  • BREAKFAST AT NELSON'S CAFE

    Head to breakfast for some coffee at Reed River or a gooey chewy sweet caramel roll at Nelson’s Cafe. They are messy and delicious, just the way a caramel roll should be.

  • KAYAK THE ROSEAU RIVER

    Now that your belly is loaded with carbs, relax on the Roseau River with a kayak or paddle board rental from ROAR ( Riverview outdoors and Recreation). The water is so still and the gentle breeze might just lull you to sleep.

  • READ A BOOK IN A HAMMOCK

    Grab a book and spend the afternoon hammocking in the City Park under the tall oaks.

  • EXPERIENCE POLARIS

    Visit the Polaris Experience Center and get a photo next to the first snowcat designed. While there, schedule a tour of the Polaris Plant and see the machine being built.

  • GREENBUSH RACE TRACK

    You had a relaxing day just chillin, End the day with hot laps as the sun sets at the Greenbush Race Park!! Wager a bet on the winning car, to see who is driving home.

  • SIGHTING OF THE WENDIGO

    Research the sighting of the Wendigo. Urban legends of a creature called the Wendigo have terrorized people for centuries in the Roseau, Minnesota area . There are many versions of the story, but a few facts are accepted by all. The creature is said to dwell in the frozen forests in Minnesota and Ontario. It is at least 15 feet tall, with antlers and a skeletal face. Sightings in Roseau, Minnesota, began in the 1800s. The terrifying beast is said to appear to witnesses following the death of someone they love.

DAY 3: SPEND A DAY WITH YOUR SELFIE

Get out that selfie stick and let’s see those pearly whites! On your next drive around town with your friends, be sure to make these stops for a SELFIE!!
