  • BARNS & BACKROADS

Red-painted barns are an icon across the Northeast and the Midwest. In keeping with tradition, these red barns often sit alongside a stark white farmhouse, providing a contrast against farmland. Their old bones are getting tired and showing their age, but they are still as beautiful today as when they were first built. Let’s look at some of the majestic old barns of Roseau County.

  • ROSEAU SUMMER CONCERT SERIES

Roseau has an active summer music scene. Bring a chair and join us at the Riverview Park for a live concert every Thursday at 6:30. All concerts are free and a meal is provided at an added cost to help one of our local organizations, such as Relay or Life.

  • PIONEER FARM & VILLAGE

History buffs will enjoy the Roseau Pioneer Farm and Village that showcases various buildings that have been moved in from across the area and restored. Visit an actual one room school house, a print shop, mercantile, and church among other buildings. Each fall a Pioneer Farm festival is held showing many old time demonstrations along with music and other activities for the whole family.

  • GRAB A FISHING POLE

Grab a fishing pole and head out to the Center Street Bridge or the City Park Pier for some Roseau River Fishing. Take a 20 minute drive to Warroad if you want to fish Lake of the Woods. The point offers several piers to fish from. You might land a record walleye.
