We understand that your trusted canine companion is vital to your life. Our hotels are pet friendly so lodging is simple at the AmericInn and North Country Inn. Please plan to have your Service Pet Documentation available to show restaurant and shop owners. If your pet needs an outside break or you have limited time, consider requesting a to-go order from one of our restaurants and visit one of our City Parks or pocket parks located around town. Most offer a picnic table, and you can let your pet relax. Winter can be more of a challenge. If shopping around town, simply ask the shop owner or clerk about their policy.
Many of our business owners have pets in their shops. Consider stopping by Pet Pantry and Supply to meet Kim and her French Bull Dog or Cheri at Transfer’s chocolate lab Abbey. Evergreen Lumber and Supply have a cat that thinks she is a dog named Freddy May and two dogs, Roxy and Cash. Treats are often given at shops, banks, and even drive-up windows. Do not be surprised if someone stops you to pet your dog or visit about its breed. From one pet owner to another -welcome.
