Relay For Life

Roseau County’s Relay For Life is August 4, 2022.

Relay For Life is the signature fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, which is devoted to funding research to find a cure, discover better treatments, and promote life-saving prevention screenings. It also provides programs and services to those diagnosed with cancer.

Roseau County has always been very supportive and generous toward this annual event that has been taking place for over 20 years. This year, Roseau County is on track to raise over $100,000! Just think of the lives this can and will change!

Paint the town purple for Relay For Life! The Roseau RFL committee is hoping to paint the town purple the week of July 28 – August 3, and we invite all businesses (and homeowners) to join us. Decorate your windows, doors, the whole store, etc. with purple décor to help raise awareness and support Relay For Life.

Cancer survivors! One of the most exciting parts of Relay For Life is recognizing our own cancer survivors. All cancer survivors may sign up to receive a free survivor t-shirt and are invited to a pie social at 5:30, prior to the main activities.

Luminaria – another highlight of Relay. Everyone is invited to purchase a luminary in honor or in memory of a loved one. When all the luminaria lining the sidewalk are lit, it is a beautiful site.

Luminaria may be purchased (and decorated) in advance by contacting any of the committee members personally, by emailing the address below, or through our Facebook page (Relay for Life of Roseau County). Also, we invite everyone to stay until it is dark, so you can see the magic of the luminaria lighting the way and celebrating our loved ones.

The event. Relay For Life of Roseau County will be held in conjunction with the Roseau Gazebo Night, with music by The Overtones. We’ll also have a bake sale, live auction, a quilt raffle, a 50/50 drawing, and a meal.

If you wish to be involved further or if you have questions, you may contact the committee by emailing Committee members: Pam Lovejoy, Patty
