First up in the morning is time at the river just to the south of the City Center! The Roseau River offers many opportunities for outdoor recreation and play. One of the best things about being by the river is the peaceful and tranquil setting. The sound of the water rushing by and the chirping of birds in the trees creates a relaxing atmosphere that can help you forget about the stresses of the day. If you’re planning a fishing trip to the Roseau River, be sure to bring the right gear, such as a fishing rod, bait, and a fishing license. And don’t forget to take in the beautiful surroundings and enjoy the simple pleasure of spending time outdoors.

Later when the sun is out and hot you can go up to our city Splash Pad! The Splash Pad is a water playground that’s perfect for children and families looking to beat the heat. Located in the heart of Roseau, the South Riverview Park Splash Pad offers a safe and fun water experience for children of all ages. The Splash Pad features a variety of water features, including spray jets, water cannons, and water buckets that are sure to keep kids entertained for hours. The Splash Pad is surrounded by a soft rubberized surface, making it a safe place for children to play and run around. There are also plenty of shaded areas and benches for parents and caregivers to relax and watch their children play. One of the best things about the Splash Pad is that it’s free and open to the public. It’s a great way to spend a summer afternoon without having to spend any money. If you do plan to visit the Splash Pad, be sure to bring sunscreen, towels, and a change of clothes. Remember to pack a picnic lunch too, and make a day of it! Lastly, to wind down for the evening you can go right across the street to the Roseau Public Library. Our library is a cozy and welcoming space that provides a perfect environment for quieting down after a busy day. With its friendly staff, comfortable seating, and wide selection of books and media, the library is an ideal spot for anyone looking to relax and slow down. The library’s interior is bright and airy, with plenty of natural light streaming in through its large windows. The space is well-organized and easy to navigate, with clearly labeled sections for different genres and formats of materials. One of the best things about the Roseau Public Library is its quiet and calm atmosphere. Even during busy periods, the library is a peaceful haven where patrons can read, study, or work in peace. The staff is always ready to help with any questions or recommendations. They are always happy to let visitors enjoy the space in solitude as well. 

The library is a wonderful place to take it easy and relax, the Splash Pad is fun for the kiddos in the sun, and the river is a nice place to hang out.
